Weather & Lightning Policy

Florida weather can change quickly, so KLSA monitors weather and radar throughout the day and during every outdoor activity. We look for safe, playable weather windows and will make every reasonable effort to hold activities as scheduled when conditions allow.

If conditions become unsafe, KLSA follows our Lightning Safety Protocol, including the 10-mile lightning rule and 30-minute waiting period.

Makeup Policy:

• If at least 50% of a scheduled session is completed, the session is considered completed and there will be no makeup.

• If less than 50% of a session is completed due to weather, KLSA will provide a makeup opportunity when possible.

• If an entire session is cancelled or a makeup cannot reasonably be scheduled within the current season, KLSA may provide a credit toward a future KLSA program instead.

Because weather is unpredictable, makeup dates are subject to facility, coach, field, and program availability.
